The Palm Beach County Health Department has tasked you with analyzing data from health department inspections of a subset of food-serving outlets in the county. To get the findings presented in the figures at the end of this document, follow the procedures below.
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION The Documentation worksheet (for the workbook’s history), the Inspections worksheet, and the Reference worksheet are the first three worksheets in this workbook; you’ll be adding more later. Make sure you’re working on the right worksheet according to the instructions. This workbook contains a lot of information! To guarantee that Excel has adequate memory to conduct the essential tasks, you should close most other applications while working on this project.
You’ll be making multiple copies of the same worksheet use the worksheet copy features to do so (do NOT copy and paste the data, as this may produce incorrect results later). Unless otherwise specified, name the worksheets as stated and maintain them in the sequence in which they were created.
Make sure you know how to choose only the data in an Excel table column if you choose worksheet columns instead of table columns, your file may grow in size, making saving or uploading difficult or impossible!
Verify your results using the figures at the end of the instructions. In most situations, these graphs only depict a subset of the data (ragged edge indicates partial data). If you have any questions or problems, contact the instructor by FIU email or use the Professors WhatsApp chat group.
