Description
The event I chose was the Nightclub & Bar Show, which has a website at https://www.ncbshow.com.
To begin, select an event from the PPT list of international events included in this Module. You may attend any of the events on the schedule.
Second, using the list of countries supplied in the Kiss, Bow, or Shake Hands materials in this course, you will select a country AND city to hold the event. The country should be a place where the event has never been hosted before and will not be held in the near future. This will force you to write your message with your head (rather than historical data).
Furthermore, you are not permitted to host your event in the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom. After you’ve chosen your country, you’ll need to choose a city inside that country to host the event. Here are a few things to think about for your project: If you choose a major expo but the city in the country you’ve chosen lacks a convention center, it will be tough to put together. So, before deciding on a location and country, do some research to determine what amenities are required for your event and where they can be obtained.
You’ll also want to make sure the event type is appropriate for the country or region. You wouldn’t hold a wine exhibition in the Middle East, for example. Please ensure that the culture of the venue is appropriate for the event. You’ll definitely need to do a lot of research for this assignment, so pick an event and a country that you’re interested in! It’s fine if you and another student chose the same country or event because you’ll all be working individually. Remember that this project requires you to conduct research, evaluate options, make strategic judgments, and defend those decisions. To put it another way, once you’ve decided on an event and a city/country, you’ll need to discuss in your paper which factors (from among the ten given above) are most crucial for your event. How will event planners, suppliers, and attendees know where to go, what to do, how to act, and so forth? What is the most important thing students need to know about each of the ten topics? Your message should be at least 2,500 words long (which works out to be about 250 words per topic).
You must also include a minimum of 10 external references (one for each topic), all of which must be properly credited in APA format. Your references should not be included in your word count. You should not count a heading or a title page if you use one. To put it another way, I’m seeking for 2,500 words of original, significant commentary from you. You are free to write as much as you like. I’ve never taken away points from a kid for doing more than the bare minimum, and I’ll never do so again.
Your submission should be typed directly into the text field of the Webcourse’s term project assignment. I strongly advise you to compose your paper in MS Word, Google Docs, or another word processor so that you may save it as you go (the Webcourse will not preserve your work until you submit it). To ensure that you satisfy the minimum length requirement, you can utilize the word counter function included with most word processors.
Then, when you’re done, just copy and paste your work from your word processor document into the assignment’s text editor box and submit. Note that the text editor box does not always display photos, tables, and other similar items correctly, so I would avoid including them in your message. To be clear, you will NOT be uploading a file to the Webcourse; instead, you will copy and paste your message into the text field before submitting. I don’t care what font you choose (no wingdings, please), whether you double-space, or whether you include a title page in terms of format (none of this will format properly in the text editor box anyway).
The only formatting requirement I have is that your references be in APA format (as stated above). That includes both your references and your in-text citations (every reference should be cited at least once in-text).
Please proofread your work before submitting it, as credit will be reduced for grammatical errors. Note: The “hanging indent” requirement for references in APA format is irrelevant to me because the text box will not allow you to do so. However, all other aspects of the reference formatting should be correct. IMPORTANT: Plagiarism is not tolerated. TurnItIn.com is used to verify the authenticity of this assignment. If you copy/paste from another source, I’ll notice and give you a zero.
