Applying Current Evidence Based Practice Guidelines Essay
Applying Current Evidence Based Practice Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Acute Bacterial Sinusitis in Pediatric Patients Using Healthcare Informatics.
This assignment will demonstrate your ability to use healthcare informatics to apply current evidence-based practice guidelines to the management of a pediatric patient diagnosed with acute bacterial sinusitis.
The guidelines that you are to use are in the following article available on the Web.
Wald et al. (2013). Clinical practice guideline for the diagnosis and management of acute bacterial sinusitis in children aged 1 to 18 years. American Academy of Pediatrics, 132(1).

Week 7 Causes of General Anxiety Disorder Infographic
Application and implications for practice come from the interpretation of meaning from research findings. Communicating and using research evidence is an expectation of a BSN graduate.
Select and describe one of the Discussions or Conclusions from the required article from the Week 6 assignment that you found interesting and applicable to practice. Describe how you would apply the evidence to improve nursing practice. Explain your answer.
Discuss ways you would disseminate research-based evidence; how would you share with your peers? Include your thoughts on why it is important for you to be involved in communicating and applying nursing research evidence.
i will also need one replay to two classmates, I am attaching their answers bellow
Nensi: One of the discussions from the week 6 assignment article was interesting to me that the there is a relationship between alarm fatigue and demographic characteristic like gender, age, nursing unit and nurse to patient ratio ( Storm & Hsiu-Chin, 2020). Based on the information from the study it was more relevant that younger nurses who just graduated from school joined workforces are more vulnerable to alarm fatigue. The study concluded that nurse leaders must need to collaborate with clinical educators to develop coping mechanism to manage alarm fatigue, compassion fatigue and burn out.
Clinical leader may develop resources and mentoring program for nurses to prevent from alarm fatigue. This evidence can be shared with peers, coworkers, leaders at my current dialysis facility as new graduates are being hired and they may feel overwhelmed from different alarms of the dialysis machines and not knowledgeable about troubleshooting these alarms. These will raise awareness and give insight amongst new nurses and clinic manager who can tackle the burn out and alarm fatigue which will improve nurses’ satisfaction of their role and prevent nurses from quitting job, short staffing issues, and prevent patient adverse outcomes.
As week 7 lesson (Chamberlain college of nursing, 2022) explains that dissemination promotes integration of best current evidence into practice. Before communicating and sharing the findings from the research, it is important for nurses to evaluate whether the data are appropriate for the patients, types of setting, and outcomes met in their current practice setting (Houser, 2018). So, I would review the article if its credible, and assess if it is appropriate to apply in my practice. I will discuss with peers by explaining the need for research through article, the findings of article thru meetings and then ensure that it is best for the patient as EBP has highlighted these points.
This paper is informational that it tells us that nurses need to be educated about their risk for burnout, compassion fatigue, and alarm fatigue and how to take preventative measures, overcome and help the coworkers. Communicating this information and applying nursing research evidence will raise awareness amongst nurses of risk exposure and combat the burnout.
I am attaching the second one later today
