Article Discussion on Smartphones and Consumer Behavior
Consumer Search and Smartphone Applications were discussed in this week’s reading (Chapter 12, p. 261).
For this discussion, you’ll look for relevant research, news stories, or opinion pieces on the usage of Smartphones in marketing, their applicability to consumer behavior, case studies, and so on. I’m leaving it up to you to come up with
something to do with 1) Smartphones, and 2) Consumer Behavior (I would love to see everyone with something different, such as mobile marketing, apps, etc.). To address the following topics, I want you to utilize respectable sources (they
don’t have to be from JOSTR, but they SHOULD NOT BE FROM WIKIPEDIA-this is never an acceptable source) and anything you’re interested in:
1. Give a quick summary of the article and discuss whether you agree with the approach/findings/etc. Please include a link to your article or its location so that others can read it if they wish.
2. When will your article be published, and how will this effect the findings? (i.e. something I show you from 2000 and something from 2016 would be very different).
3. Finally, how does this relate to what you’ve been learning and reading in class? Connect it to specific regions or subjects studied so far in the course. This will be the most heavily weighted component of this discussion post because it is the most significant application of this week’s debate.
Your response must be at least 350 words long, formatted correctly in APA style, and address all of the aforementioned elements.
