Assignment for ENG106 Proposal Argument Essay
Use five to seven scholarly materials to write a 1,500-1,750-word policy proposal on the sale, trade, or donation of human organs. The policy proposal should be appropriate for publication as an editorial in a college or city newspaper, or in a publication linked with a specific organization, such as a church newsletter or an employee bulletin. The tone and style of your argument should be tailored to the readers of the publication you’ve selected. If your instructor has given you permission, do not use first person pronouns (I, me, us, we, our, my, mine) or second person pronouns (you, your, yours) in this guest editorial writing.
The following features should be included in your editorial:
1. Determine the issue with the sale, trade, or donation of human organs.
2. Persuade the audience you’ve chosen that this is a problem that has to be addressed; give it weight.
3. Propose a course of action, including detailed details on how the actions will help to solve the problem.
4. Justify your solution; explain why your audience should accept and act on your plan.
This isn’t just another persuasive essay about organ donation, trading, or sale. It is an argumentation proposal that proposes a realistic and justifiable solution to an organ donation dilemma.
Grading of the First Draft
