Business Management Principles
In this assignment, you will create the third portion of the Camp Bow Wow Dog Park Summary Report, which will be based on the concept of information’s strategic relevance. Businesses operate in an environment where information is valuable data that can affect customer behavior, thus it is strategically important.
An ID scanning system with an entrance door access reader is one of the technologies Susan is looking at for the dog park management. A Camp Bow Wow Dog Park member would be able to scan their ID card to enter the dog park, similar to the systems used to secure company entry doors for employees or members of fitness clubs. In addition, the ID scanning system will be able to track when and for how long a member visits the park. The ID card can also be used as a loyalty or reward card. Customers will be able to log into their accounts and track their consumption through the Camp Bow Wow website.
Discuss how the data acquired can be used to gain a first mover advantage or aid to sustain a competitive edge if adopted, taking into account these sources of customer data. Is it possible to use the data to improve the customer experience, Camp Bow Wow, and the Park and Bark operations, and if so, what would the benefits be? (maximum 500 words)
