Overview The store theme establishes the content for the final project. Students will identify the retail store used for the final visual merchandising plan. Students will explain how the visual merchandising plan will benefit the retailer chosen. In the description, students will use specific terms and discuss why this retailer may need to improve upon its visual merchandising strategies. In this development, students will include a theme that enhances the store’s target market. Assignment Instructions/Prompt 1. Identify the retail store used for the final visual merchandising plan. Specifically include the following: A. Develop a visual merchandising process for the store chosen. Include a theme that best represents the target customer. B. Include three to five creative resources to develop the theme. 2. Describe and use pictures to create the theme for the following: A. Storefront window display B. General store décor C. Interior store fixtures 3. When developing the store plan, be sure to create continuity throughout the plan with the use of a theme. Be aware of the brand image and target customer when developing the visual merchandising theme.
