Description
A Comparative Analysis of a Social Problem
Objective:
In this project, you are expected to compare and contrast an existing SOCIAL problem in any TWO countries in the world. Remember, it should be a problem in these two countries.
Select an issue that is specific (such as honor killing, wage gap, or, conservation of wildlife). Issues such as womens rights, gender inequality or environmental issues are too broad.
These are just a few examples. Feel free to write on a social issue that you are interested in.Questions to address
Your paper should include the following sections. Consider the following questions while writing each section below.
a) How pervasive is this problem in each country? (present and describe relevant data you can cite some numbers in last 5-10 years). You can make a table but the table will not count toward the word limit.
b) Explain only TWO most important factors account for this problem in EACH country? (globalization, migration, state policies, political and/or economic context of the region, patriarchy etc. or any other that have been mentioned in the scholarly sources). In your discussion, compare and contrast if the reasons are similar or different in the two countries.
Sources
For this research paper, you will make use of at least FOUR scholarly sources (at least two on each country). Although not required, in addition to four scholarly sources, you can use other non-scholarly sources (websites, newspapers, blogs etc.)

You do not need to attach copies of your four articles to your papers. Be certain, however, to provide full citations to them.
What is NOT a scholarly source?
Textbooks are not considered a scholarly source.
