Research Questions
The aim of the study is determining the relationship between appraisal systems and organizational strategies. Recent studies have exhausted how appraisal systems impact employee performance, motivation and job satisfaction, and this particular study will direct emphasis on organizational strategies (Subekti, 2021, Zondo, 2018). Scholars have established that appraisal systems affect performance, motivation and job satisfaction while this research will determine the nature of association between performance appraisals and organizational strategies if there is any, and whether it is necessary for appraisal systems to align to organizational strategies. The following research questions and hypotheses will be used in the study:
Research Question One
Does strategic management affect the nature of performance systems in organizations?
Null Hypothesis: Strategic management affects the nature of performance appraisal systems
Alternative Hypothesis: Strategic Management does not affect the nature of performance appraisal systems?
Research Question Two
Do organizations align strategic management with performance appraisal systems?
Null Hypothesis: Organizations align strategic management with performance appraisal systems
Alternative Hypothesis: Organizations do not align strategic management with performance appraisal systems.
Research Question 3:
Does lack of alignment between strategic management approaches and performance appraisal systems affect organizational performance?
Null Hypothesis: Lack of alignment between strategic management approaches and performance appraisal systems affect organizational performance.
Alternative Hypothesis: Lack of alignment between strategic management approaches and performance appraisal systems does not affect organizational performance.
Research Question Four
How can performance appraisal systems be aligned to strategic management to enhance organizational productivity?
