Conduct research on the components/departments of an IS functional area (in addition to your lesson and assigned readings) and create a PowerPoint presentation that addresses the components/departments of an IS functional area. Your presentation should consist of 10-15 content-specific slides (excluding the title and reference slides) and should address the following in your own words:
Include a description of an IT department’s responsibilities.
Explain the four department groups and what they do.
Describe the major role that each department plays in terms of information technology.
Describe each of the planning functions in detail.
Explain why information systems management is so important.
On the PowerPoint Notes page for each slide, include presenter’s notes containing talking points, as well as specific details for discussion of each slide during the presentation.
Make sure that any sources you use are properly cited.
While APA formatting is not required for the body of this assignment, good academic writing is expected, and source documentation should follow APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the Student Success Center’s APA Style Guide.
