Discussion about the Project Charter
Create a three- to four-page project charter (using headings) based on the project management case study (no more than four pages). Investigate two extra materials in addition to the course textbook. According to your charter,
Summarize the project’s goals and constraints.
Make a proposal for the project’s business case.
Describe how the initiative will support the company’s overall strategy.
Describe how corporate social responsibility (CSR) values will be applied to the project.
Calculate the project business case’s Net Present Value (NPV). (Use Microsoft Excel to calculate the NPV based on the following dataattach an Excel spreadsheet as an appendix:
The purchase price was set at $400,000.
In Year 0, a one-time project expenditure of $100,000 was expended.
After-tax benefits of $150,000 each year for a period of five years.
Year 6 and beyond have a salvage value of $400,000.)
In the paper, summarize your NPV results and refer to the Appendix.
Create a milestone schedule with five to seven components.
To determine the milestones, use the case study as a guide. If the case is missing something, feel free to provide a solution or a milestone that you believe Walmart will appreciate.
Predict the project’s risks, dangers, and possibilities.
Make a list of the resources required for the project.
Create a strategy for building a high-performing project team.
Determine the importance of five key stakeholder groups.
