Discussion On Biometrics And Global Identity
Because of the simplicity and accessibility of cloud services, corporate functionality has transferred from local servers to the cloud in record numbers. Our biometrics, too, might be stored on the cloud. Assume your company has partnered with a worldwide authentication service that maintains user fingerprints in global identity accounts. Users can then access websites using their biometric fingerprint from the cloud service rather than keeping it locally on their mobile device or computer. An attacker might theoretically compromise any of your online accounts that accept your fingerprints if they acquire access to your fingerprints (whether stored locally or in the cloud). Please respond to the following question(s):
Is it safer to save biometric data locally or in the cloud? Why?
Could multifactor authentication (MFA) keep an attacker from obtaining access to your accounts if they have your fingerprints? Why do you think that is?
750 words are required.
