Essay on Organizational Behavior and Performance Motivation in Operations
Motivation for Performance is an assignment.
Understanding the many sorts of motivational theories aids leaders in building stronger organizations. It’s critical to focus on employee motivation in order to create a supportive environment that encourages employees to achieve corporate goals.
This Assignment evaluates the following Course Outcomes:
MT302-3: Examine motivation theories in order to increase employee performance.
GEL-1.02: Compose original content in Standard English to demonstrate college-level communication.
GEL-6.02: Appropriately use outside research into a creative work.

The Cordis Building Works Company adapts and creates portable offices and residences utilizing everything from shipping containers to modular dwellings, all based on bespoke plans. The company has been in operation for 35 years and
prides itself on offering a competitive wage and excellent benefits, as well as maintaining the majority of its original staff. While the company began with unique designs and one-of-a-kind housing and office buildings, much of the factory’s
everyday work is now done by robots. They’ll still need a supervisor and technicians to keep things operating, as well as a construction crew to deliver and build the products on the job. The designs may be tweaked now, but they’re already in their computer and ready to print with minor changes if needed. There are two major engineers, one who focuses on high-end homes and the other who focuses on corporate office projects back at the main offices.
The CEO and President (i.e., the husband and wife partnership that founded the company) meet with potential corporate clients and discuss pricing and construction criteria. While the company used to build low-income housing, its current
clients are nearly entirely wealthy individuals or corporations. The company president and CEO are starting to consider retirement. They want to keep the company functioning, but they don’t understand why the two engineers seem
unmotivated, especially because they are paid well and get three weeks of vacation per year. Furthermore, the production line has been experiencing more issues recently, and the supervisor, as well as the technicians, appear to be arriving late several times per week. They are concerned about the company they founded’s future.
Minimum Submission Requirements Checklist
Compile a list of the company’s issues that may be affecting employee motivation and performance.
Analyze motivation theories from your text and Learning Activities to explain the engineers’ lack of motivation (with due citation).
Analyze motivation theories from your book and Learning Activities to explain the supervisor’s, technicians’, and construction crew’s lack of motivation (with proper credit).
Describe how the CEO and president could better motivate staff to achieve better results.
Do some library research and submit a short quote from each of at least two (2) scholarly* papers that integrate research into your analysis to provide support for your arguments, along with the relevant citations. These citations should be
accompanied with references on a separate reference page, which should be formatted and styled according to the APA 6th edition format and style. Your essay should have a strong and consistent point of view.
Use the 6th edition APA formatting and citation style (see APA Style Central in the Academic Tools portion of the course) to submit your 23 page expository essay to the Dropbox, along with supplementary title and reference pages.
