Purpose This project’s goal is to introduce you to the process of interacting with cultural sites and communities. This will provide you with personal information on the Humanities and the organizations that support them.
This assignment will allow you to practice the following skills, which will be valuable in your career and personal life outside of school.
Identify cultural places and provide you with further information about the art type you’ve chosen.
Organize your thoughts about interacting with a cultural experience and community.
Describe and interpret cultural experiences and communities using concepts and skills taught in class.

Restrictions: You must view the experience during the current semester. If this isn’t possible, talk to the instructor about other options. You are not permitted to report on a cultural event that occurred before this session.
After you’ve investigated or examined the online resource, write a report.
The following information should be included in your report. Include any photographs or links that will aid in the communication of the information. Always make a point of documenting all sources used in the preparation of your work. This includes any instructional materials or information from websites that provided you with knowledge about the issue you investigated.
The name of the museum, site, or performance event, as well as its location. If there is information on the site or performance available on the internet, be sure to provide a link to it somewhere in the text of your article.
Type of museum, location, or event Is it a picture or sculpture museum, a music event, or a dance performance, for instance? If you saw a performance, give the name of the performer or the work you saw.
Briefly describe the overall scene by mentioning the location (you can look up the location online) and the general “feel” of the place.
Describe at least one component of the encounter that was very fascinating to you. For instance, you may write about a certain work of art, cultural relic, song, dance portion, costumes or lighting, a specific performer, and so on. Explain why something impressed or influenced you. Your response might be favorable or negative, as long as you explain yourself.
To talk about your viewing, identify and use at least two tools, concepts, or strategies that you learnt about in this class in the Learning Resources. If you take a virtual museum tour, you might point out how color works in one of the paintings, or if you go to a concert, you might discuss how rhythm works in one of the songs. Make sure you specify the tools, concepts, and methodologies you’re employing, as well as the exact learning resources they came from. Make sure to include a quote or paraphrase from the learning resource to tell the reader about the tool/concept/method. Then, make sure to explain to the reader how you interpret and/or analyze specific aspects of your tool experience.

Consider how your experience relates to your daily life, if at all. If at all, how did the encounter engage your feelings or emotions? What does this say about human society and/or your own personality?
