Group Leadership Proposal on Self-Care
Purpose of the group
The purpose of the group is to examine the how self-care in variety of setting can help counselors to be efficient and effective. The group’s purpose will also be to identify the several areas of self-care which will include emotional and physical fitness of counselor in trainee. Emotional feeling is inside of a person, if someone is not emotionally well and at peace with themselves then there is a high chance of having a complication such as having a mental issue (Riegel et al., 2019). To be able to assist clients we as a counselor needs to be emotionally stable and physically fit as well. The other area that needs self-care is the physical area which includes the body. The other area of self-care is the environment. We need to keep and clean our environment on the daily basis. A conducive and clean environment is very important area for self-care. The other area is the social area; this is where an individual needs to have friends they can count on and the ones that can be able to give help when one needs it.
Objectives of the group
The objective of the group will be to;
Identify the self-care strategies that are helpful to the participants
Identify the importance of self-care
Identify the various resources that can be used in self-care
Proposed activity
The group leader will bring along some papers will scale range that will be used to gage the range of the participant’s self-care. The participants will be expected to mark on the scale the range to which they always conduct and observe self-care on themselves (Rupert & Dorociak, 2019). For instance; whether they have self-care on their physical areas such as; body which needs to be taken care of such as keeping it clean and healthy by eating foods that are beneficial to the body which include a balanced diet and not the ones that harm the body. It also requires exercise and good sleep in order to function well.

What are some of the adjustments that need to be made to have a balanced life-style?
How will one notice a colleague that has impairment at workplace?
How would you approach such a colleague without making them feel offended?
