HRM Paper on Determining Training Outcomes
Use the TNA to determine performance gaps and specific training objectives. This assignment completes your TNA and builds on the prior Assignment #1. In this assignment, use at least three classroom resources.
You will just work on TNA items 68 for this assignment (outlined below)
1. Provide an overview of Assignment #1 (as an introduction, include a brief explanation of Assignment #1)
2. TNA Item #6: Based on the TNA, include at least three training outcomes.
Consider the training’s outcomes in a bigger context: how will it solve the problem (or meet the need) at the organizational level? Consider this a rationale for your education. How would you “sell” the training to the executive team of the company? Why should they spend money on training? What’s in it for them (a.k.a. the company)? Keep in mind that this should be as concrete as possible!
3. TNA Item #7: Determine the group’s or individuals’ projected performance as a result of the training.
This is where you’ll concentrate more on the person. Consider your learning objectives. What will the target audience do (or not do) as a result of the training to improve their performance?
4. TNA Item #8: Identify performance gaps and explain how training might assist in closing them.
You’ll essentially be validating your suggested training here. What performance gaps (or needs) will the training address, and how will your training ideas do this? There must be a clear link between what you’re suggesting and the problem you’re trying to solve.
5. Draw a conclusion about your Training Needs Analysis.
6. References: For each assignment, students must use at least three class materials to back up their claims with course proof.
