Instructions:
Refer to the Unit II Assignment project proposal you created. You will expand on that project for this assignment by creating a project scope document (i.e., the definition of what needs to be done to produce the project deliverables and to satisfy the customer). The following elements should be included in the project scope document:
Customer Needs: Describe the customer requirements in terms of the project’s end product/functional service’s or performance criteria.
Explain the Statement of Work (SOW), including the work aspects and milestones to be completed. This should include any project-related concerns.
Deliverables: Create a schedule of deliverables that includes milestones throughout the project as well as the ultimate deliverable at the end. Make a Gantt chart to track your progress (instructions and example are included within the Unit III Lesson).
Describe the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) that divides the work items in the SOW into specific work activities.
Develop and expand on the acceptance criteria that were briefly covered in the project proposal.
While project scope documents differ from one project to the next, yours should include a detailed description of each section. Please include an introduction paragraph as well. If the nature of your project makes a detailed description impossible, you can use portions of the section in question to provide an idea of what is delivered.
