T ransitional Living Program (TLP)
https://www.acf.hhs.gov/fysb/resource/tlp-fact-sheet
The life of a homeless child or youth is devastating. Various factors such as abuse or loss of parents can drive a child to leave home in search of a better life or safety (DeVooght, Fletcher and Cooper, 2012)). The Transitional Living Program was initiated under the Runaway and Homeless Youth Act with the objective of helping
homeless youths by offering grants to organizations and foster families that support the affected youths. The objective of TLP rhymes with that of the project idea which is to ensure the wellbeing of children in foster homes and families by making sure that they are accommodated in a stable and secure environment.

One of the most difficult stages in life especially for children from foster home is transition to adulthood due to numerous responsibilities that one has to fulfill. The project idea recognizes the immense challenges that youths from foster homes have after the placement age and intends to help them by easing the financial
burden and social support. This aim aligns with that of The Independent Living Program which is offered by South Carolina Department of Social Services to support young people from foster care. The program offers Chafee funds which can significantly aid the struggling youths to establish themselves without much strain.
Additionally, the program offers other services such as emotional support which are essential to improve the quality of the ones life.
Jason Hayes Foundation

Most of the children in foster care have had a history of trauma in their life due to abuse or loss of a loved one (Zorza, 1991). The Jason Hayes Foundation targets such children during and after their stay in foster homes. The grant from this organization not only helps the project idea to provide a secure and stable and secure environment for children, it also provides a platform to address emotional and physical problems that the children might be experiencing due to their past experiences.
