Part I of the instructions: Your Organization
Write a 150-200 word synopsis of the organization you’ll be focusing on for the duration of the course. Who is sold what service/product, and for what purpose?
Then, for your chosen organization, define the following features:
1. Problem-Solving Methodology
Consider a recent issue about which you’ve been made aware. Explain how the problem was addressed using the procedures outlined in the text’s problem-solving model:
1. Determine the issue (s).
2. Recognize the problem’s distinct characteristics.
3. Specify solution requirements – be precise about any existing company policies.
4. Make a list of possible solutions.
5. Choose the best option.
6. Put the best solution into action.
7. Evaluate and observe the solution’s impact.
2. Organizational Culture Describe your company’s culture. What role does this culture play in providing excellent customer service?
3. The Clientele
Describe your client. What are their purchasing habits? What are the payment procedures? What are their hopes and dreams? How does your organization deal with customer diversity?
4. Self-determination
In what ways do your staff feel empowered at work? What are some examples of empowerment? Customers are empowered in what ways?
5. Collaborative Production
Describe any co-production techniques that exist in your company. Does it change depending on the circumstances? Give an example of how it is used or not used.
Negotiation is number six.
Do you have any procedures in place that allow you to negotiate?
Part 2: Analyze
Examine the efficiency of each of the preceding points.
What is the relationship between your problem-solving process and your empowerment systems and your client base?
How would you describe the relationship between your company’s reps and your customers? Why?
The document should be 1-2 pages long, double spaced, and written in New Times Roman font with a font size of no more than 12 point. Correct APA formatting, including references and in-text citations, is necessary.
