Topic/Question: If the maker of antivirus software wants to be successful, the software has to be as close to bulletproof as the maker can possibly make it. Nothing is perfect; we certainly should understand at this point that no software can be proven bug free and that no security posture is 100% risk-free. Based on this statement, what do you think it could be better to improve the antivirus software? How safe do you feel to use antivirus software in your organization, and what other precautions do you use to prevent virus, malware, etc.?

Correlation vs. Identity Discussion Reply 1 Paolo:
Excellent post!
This topic was a bit confusing for me to understand in the beginning and your post gave must needed clarification on the difference between correlation and identity. Indeed, the fallacy stems from confusing a correlation with identity, however, it is still not clear cut where the separation ends. It is easy to confuse the two concepts when making a statement, what strategies can you suggest to mitigate this?

Paolo
Correlation vs. Identity Discussion Reply 2 Melissa:
Correlation, relationship between two events or variables. Identity, relation of any event or entities with itself. While reading a few posts during this discussion prompt I feel that we answer the next question on its own. What is the importance of being able to distinguish between the two? As we read our class mates posts or comments, I think we all can say that between these two terms it can be extremely confusing. Making the importance of being able to tell them apart just that more important.
