You have just been appointed the Probation Director of Metropolitan County Juvenile Probation Department. You have 10 years of experience in probation. You have a master’s degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology, as well as one in Social Work.

What are some problems in probation that you should be aware of?
Every year you have to present your budget to the County Legislature. How might you do this in such a way as to get the necessary resources for your agency?
Your paper must meet the following requirements:
Your written paper should be 2-3 pages in length not counting the title and reference pages, which you must include.
Use terms, evidence, and concepts from class readings.
Cite at least three scholarly sources for this assignment. Scholarly resources include: peer-reviewed journal articles, books, the class textbook, or reports/documents from the government (.gov sites). If the class textbook is used as a source, then two other scholarly sources must be used.
