The client’s main concerns are issues with confidence and relationships. There are times confidence disappears on him and he does not feel good enough. People see him as a good person and he does not feel the same way. Things seem to bother him, but he is not sure what is triggering him.
The client expressed sometimes he feels good about himself and there are other times he does not make him feel good about himself. The client also was bullied as a child, which caused him to have low self-esteem.
Doubts about his future, so he tries to think positive and not to think negative about his doubts and thoughts.
Being treated mean as a kid. It made him feel he was not good enough. His parents will tell him he was good enough, but he wanted approval from his peers than his parents. He was trying to be friends with people that he could not be friends with.
The client will like to work on gaining his confidence back. He wants to rebuild his relationships and be a good leader. He wants to be sure that he will be okay in the future.
The therapist engaged the client to state the problem, exploring the history of the problem, acknowledging the effect of power relations, mapping internalize effect, deconstructing the dominant discourse, a unique outcome of the story, acknowledging strength, connecting the dots.
