Description
Students must write a 4-5 page research paper (1,0001,250 words) in which they analyze the origins and foundations of systems and systems thinking. Students should refer to the assigned articles (available in Canvas) and Chapter 4 of W. W. Burke’s Organization Change: Theory and Practice to begin the research discussion. (may be found in Canvas) This chapter will lay the groundwork for future research and provide the essential entry into the literature.
The following should be included in your paper:
An introduction to systems theory and thinking, as well as how they relate to organizational change.
The influence that systems thinking can have on businesses.
Internal and external elements that have an impact on the organizational structure and might act as roadblocks to change.
When using a systems approach to change, here are some things to keep in mind for leaders.
A successful paper will have an APA title page, introduction, well-organized material, conclusion, and references page that are all properly structured. The paper should be double-spaced with 1-inch margins and written in an APA-approved font (Times New Roman, 12 point is essential).
A minimum of three scholarly journal articles must be mentioned and correctly credited in the body of the work, in addition to the assigned course readings (Burke and others). A minimum of six sources should be listed on the reference page. Outside sources such as popular press articles and highly mentioned Internet sources (e.g., Wikipedia) will not be approved.
