My personal pursuit of a college education affects society in general by providing income to the economy. When I open up my business I will be a locally owned small business providing a place for owners to bring their pets when it is 40 below outside. I think that my business will benefit society by giving locals a place to hang out at and will make people happy. I will also be able to contribute my professional skills I have learned throughout my time in school to society, maybe use my communication or management skills to be useful to others. After getting my degree a side effect will be feeling the pressure to do something with my degree. I do know exactly what I want to do, I just don’t know what the road ahead looks like and I know that someday I will open up my shop, I just don’t want to feel like I am behind expectations by doing it on my own terms and when the time is right.Ninmah post
How does my pursuit of a college education affect society? I believe by obtaining my Business Management Degree, I can learn several different communication and work ethic styles as it pertains to the business to better assist the society. Society often changes, but with my knowledge and perspective of the business world, I can be confident in knowing that some things are foundational and will never change. I think I can have an effect on society by also teaching young and old on how to be effective in communication, how to properly prepare for the business world, and how to have great hospitality for whatever industry they decide to go to. I have learned so much, over the course of these 4 years, that will literally help me to be successful for the years to come. I do not necessarily think college is for everyone, but if someone who went to college can share what they have learned with others it can literally affect society overall. I think that if I stay consistent and persistent with staying focused and finding ways to help the society, a little piece of what I have to offer can make a difference, even if it just a little.

Attendance is one criterion used in most education systems that depict the discipline and commitment of students towards the courses taken.
An experiment that the teacher can use to determine whether attendance will improve students learning would be to compare it with students who do not regularly attend class. Using this scenario will help to determine the learning outcomes between the two groups. The teacher can then gather information from a previous year’s attendance and grades, then pair the attendance and marks of each student to make a comparative analysis. The teacher can then see the relationship of attendance with the learning outcomes to assess how attendance will impact students’ education. This experiment will give objective results based on facts, but it does not factor in extenuating circumstances, such as learning disabilities or students with an higher IQ . The investigation will reflect on the attendance level, which is most flexible and suitable for most students to improve learning. It can be done over time and help understand the role of attendance in the curriculum on a fundamental level.Serena post
One way a teacher could relate student attendance to grades is to monitor a particular student over the course of two separate courses giving specific directions for both courses. In one course, the instructor could require the student to only attend class three days per week while giving the student seven assignments to complete in total. The student can also be instructed to read materials on their own pace to assist in assignment completion. The instructor could give only one assessment at the end of the course, the course could be two weeks long. In the second course, same student, same instructor, but in this course the matrix can be altered to require a higher level of attendance. In this course, the instructor and the student can be the same for the sake of consistency. The instructor could require attendance of five days a week, still completing seven assignments but the reading could be mandatory in correlation to the five days of attendance. The second course could mirror the first with the length of two weeks while still offering an end of course assessment.
I believe that with measuring the same student and course length while requiring the attendance to increase and more structured reading assignment, the instructor could gage whether or not the amount of time spent in class weighs on the grade outcome.
