Consider the following health indicators from the Healthy People 2020 document:
Thirteen main categories for improvement have been identified, along with their corresponding health measurements. Choose measures from three distinct categories to include in your thread. For each measure, establish a policy level objective that you’d like to see implemented to help your community develop. Remember to state exactly what you want to accomplish in each of your three goals. What is expected to change, how much will it change, and when will it happen?
Under community management, for example, the voter turnout rate is provided. A policy level goal for this could be to establish a policy that requires the community leadership team to notify all registered voters in the community with a hand delivered sample ballot 1 week prior to the election, including a list of all candidates and initiatives, starting with the next election.
Comment on two of your classmates’ aims in your response. Assist them in refining their goals so that they are congruent with realistic expectations as demonstrated by at least two sources of literature. One could argue that given the voter turnout objective above, providing people with election information has no meaningful impact on turnout. In fact, overcoming voter indifference is far more difficult than simply providing instruction. The major political parties devote significant resources to combating voter indifference. It is permitted to contribute input to a thread to which a classmate has previously commented in this Discussion Board Forum. Remember to provide the utmost civility while remaining truthful in your assessment. Furthermore, the instructor will be searching for proof that you have considered the comments to your own thread.
