Presentation on the Freedom of Speech and the Press in Russia
Projects will be assigned to students in groups based on countries. A topic/element from the list below will be assigned to each student. These topics/elements connect to the outlines and definitions of media that we have discussed
throughout the course.
After that, each student will present their given topic/element as it appears in the media of the country to which they have been assigned. To put it another way, each student is allocated a specific country as well as a specific topic/element.
For example, you might be assigned Australian media, with journalism/censorship as a topic/element assigned to you individually. As a result, you’ll be covering how the topic/element of journalism/censorship is handled in Australian media.
Each student will construct a Web page or a PowerPoint presentation summarizing the media’s characteristics by topic/element and country. The pupil should use his or her imagination to the fullest extent possible.
Each project should include each aspect covered, as well as a list of all references utilized for the project, organized by element (web pages with addresses, articles or textbooks used, etc.).
