Analyze the Project Management Framework to see how process groups and knowledge management areas are related.
Purpose
You must analyze the relationship between the process groups, knowledge fields, and management processes for this assignment.
Instructions for the Assignment
Create a PowerPoint® presentation that covers each of the Project Management Areas of Knowledge, as well as the process groups that use them and how they interact with the knowledge area processes. To aid your understanding of the ten
knowledge areas and how they are related, consult table 1-1 in the PMBOK Text, Project Management Process Groups and Knowledge Areas Mapping. In the notes box of each PowerPoint slide, write the narrative of your presentations (your script). Organize your presentation so that each process group is presented, and inside each process group, the knowledge areas and deliverables for the groups and knowledge areas are described. The Initiating Process group, for example,
intersects with the Project Integration Knowledge area, with a Project Charter as a deliverable. Summarize your understanding in a simple narrative.
You’ll be graded on how well you interpret and comprehend the common project management processes covered in the subject areas, as well as how they relate to other project management processes.
