Questions Regarding the Martian Film
Project management can be examined through the lens of the film “The Martian.” The Martian is now working on two projects at the same time. One is Mark Watney’s survival project, and the other is a project to save him. Watney possesses the necessary talents for his survival project: he is a botanist, he understands how to fix a damaged Pathfinder, and most importantly, he does not panic, even on his first day alone on Mars. On the other hand, he isn’t the only one working on this project. The members of his remote’ team are doing everything they can to assist him reach his goal. This is an excellent example of the significance of team communication, even when members are separated by great distances!
The film may be rented for $3.99 on YouTube. The link is below…
You will be needed to address and answer the following questions when we watch the movie for this assignment.
Scores must be less than 25% if submitted through SafeAssign for originality.
Follow the APA requirements for formatting (i.e. include a reference page) Allowing bullet point margins to diminish your margins is not a good idea. Points will be deducted as a result of this. You only need to cite the Pinto textbook; you don’t need to cite the movie.
1st question (1 full page)
Pinto (2019) provides the following definition of a project: A project is a one-of-a-kind undertaking with a beginning and an end, carried out by people to achieve predetermined objectives within the constraints of cost, timing, and quality. A project can be thought of as a collection of activities and tasks that:
Have a specified goal that must be met within a certain time frame.
Dates for the commencement and finish of the project have been established.
If necessary, set financial constraints.
Consume resources such as money, people, and equipment, both human and nonhuman.
Are they multipurpose? (i.e., cut across several functional lines)
In comparison to just operations management, how does this concept match the movie people and events?
