The purpose of this assignment is to provide an opportunity to share the results and findings of the EBP process you have been working on throughout the course with your colleagues. This assignment is intended to allow you to show evidence of achievement of:
Evaluating scientific literature to be used in clinical, leadership, and policy decision making.
Summarizing scientific evidence related to a practice question.
Designing a plan for implementing scientific evidence into a practice setting including evaluation of outcomes.
Communicating scientific evidence related to practice to relevant stakeholders.
This assignment consists of an oral presentation to members of the class. The presentation should include an introduction, background and significance, definition of the practice problem including your PICO question, a review of current practice, a practice recommendation, an explanation about the evidence-to-practice gap, a plan for knowledge transfer to appropriate stakeholders, and a conclusion. There should be one slide for each of these areas totaling eight slides (not including title slide and references).
