Secondary data sources are filled with information that has been complied previously by others that are not researchers. Examples of secondary data sources are like government reports or statistics. The benefits of secondary data sources is there will always be an enormous collection of these sources always readily available. One issue with secondary data sources is the authenticity could be loss. Through time, parts of documents may be lost which could lead to being unaware of the author of the document. This can be an issue because it can lead to having trouble sourcing documents and being sure the source is unbiased (Thompson, 2017) .
A lot of healthcare providers and workers would like to see a cross-institutional medical database that is filled with clinical research in data from different systems. This would allow for more efficient and easier access to more secondary sources all in one system (Wiesenauer, Johner, & Röhrig, 2012) .
