Advanced Technical Centers Jean Piaget Discussion
For this week’s discussion board question, please read chapter 6 of Crain’s, Jean Piaget Chapter.
As you may have covered in your SSY 101 course, Piaget comes up with 4 stages (Period’s in Crain) of Cognitive Development. You should notice that in the first stage of Sensorimotor, that Piaget further breaks that stage down into 6 substages.
For this week, you are to discuss one of the substages, and explain how these observations of the stages help us understand the cognitive process (physical schemes) as Piaget outlines the child is learning in these first 24 months of their lives.
You can cover in addition to the SUBstage, the cognitive process and/or what is cognition.
