Description
Public relations may be tricky. According to page 460 of our book, public relations is “any information about an individual, product, or organization that is given to the public through the media and is not paid for or controlled by the sell.” Because we don’t have control over a PR gaffe once it starts, it’s difficult to stop or fix it.
Look up “greatest public relations blunders” on the internet. Choose one and provide a description for our class. Once you’ve finished, answer the following questions:
How did it affect the company, and how does it continue to affect the company?
What else could have been done to “calm the storm”?
In your response, mention your sources. Return before the end of the week to share your responses, along with any extra thoughts you have for your classmates.
**I expect you to contribute and share your own ideas and opinions for this project. For this assignment, properly cite your sources. For this task, do not plagiarize from the textbook, internet, or articles.
