The advantages that exist in a tutoring program at work are:
The creation of a learning culture which drives the nature of the business culture that focuses on learning and development. Provided a secure future for employees as these types of programs will help them by providing a guide that will help them evolve in their professional field. Similarly, positive feedback created in which employees gain knowledge of those around them.
Promotes personal and professional development by forming an innovation in the work environment. Constant learning creates employee safety. All this is thanks to that link established between the mentor and the employee. (Choudhury, 2018)
But in turn, brings its disadvantages
Mentor-mentor relationship can be one that can force; this can bring confrontations or perhaps the empathy between both parties is not the best. A tense environment can be counterproductive.
Frustration can be a disadvantage of either the mentor or the mentor. This can be felt either in progress; it means that the mentee does not progress fast enough, and that creates a feeling of frustration. Or if he is not receiving the necessary or appropriate mentoring. (Joseph & Thompson, 2019)

- Advantages of a Mentor Program:
Mentor (Joseph and Thompsom, 2019:
Management can trust that the Mentee is well-trained, and will contribute much to the overall goal of the organization.
The Mentor will feel a sense of pride and accomplishment by knowing he/she has helped someone on the road in becoming a model employee.
Transferring of valuable knowledge and skills.

Mentee (Joseph and Thompsom, 2019):
Someone who can help him/her to navigate through the maze of a new adventure (career).
Gain a sense of achievement as a result of his/her progress
someone took the time to train (not taking for granted they should), making them career-ready
- If there are advantages, there will be more times than not there will be disadvantages, as well:
Mentor and Mentee:
Forced relationships – this can place a strain on the Mentor and passed down to the Mentee. Let me explain. when anyone has a heavy workload it is difficult to complete, at times, because of the lack thereof. Management comes and tells you, you must train someone else without any warning, now your workload has double, if not triple. Let’s face it no one really likes that!
The frustration of feeling all of the time and work you (Mentor) put in seems if though it was all in vain, because of the lack of progress, or interest on the part of the Mentee.
