Description
Rather than having a final exam, this journal will serve as a self-reflection regarding your growth and performance in this course. This final reflection is worth 50 points so allow ample time to write five quality paragraphs (both in content and form.) Review all of the speeches you have delivered during this course along with the feedback you received before you start writing this journal entry. After you have done so, address the following questions:
How have you, specifically, improved as a speaker throughout the semester? (include physical behaviors and other non-verbals)
What role does speech development and organization play in delivering an effective presentation? (Be specific as you reflect on your own experiences)
What does it mean to be an audience-centered speaker? How have you grown to be more audience-centered as a speaker? (Be specific)
Did the feedback you received from CommLabASU or your peers encourage your growth? If so how? If not, explain? What did you find to be the most effective practicing method?
Based on your experiences in this course, what specific challenges does a speaker face when they are speaking through technology versus speaking to a live audience?
If you were the instructor, please comment on any changes you would make to this course.
