Part 1: Would you like your pursuit of goals or your personality to change in the future in any way? If yes, list the changes you would like to make and then look back over the module to see if they fit with one or more of the models of lifespan goal, personality maturity or ego development.
In 100-200 words, identify how one or more changes you would like to make in your pursuit of goals or personality fits with a model of lifespan goal, personality maturity or ego development and what might be the first steps to foster the change(s).
Part 2: Kenneth Thomas contends that to improve worker satisfaction and workplace engagement employees, managers and organizations need to focus on four intrinsic rewards. These are:
Sense of meaningfulness. This reward involves the meaningfulness or importance of the purpose you are trying to fulfill.
Sense of choice. You feel free to choose how to accomplish your work—to use your best judgment to select those work activities that make the most sense to you and to perform them in ways that seem appropriate.
Sense of competence. You feel that you are handling your work activities well—that your performance of these activities meets or exceeds your personal standards, and that you are doing good, high-quality work.
Sense of progress. You are encouraged that your efforts are really accomplishing something. You feel that your work is on track and moving in the right direction.
