Instructions:
Assignment for IT 420 Website Design
For your final submission, you will create three deliverables. You’ve already submitted the proposal in Module Three, and now you’ll submit a draft of the project plan and system design, which are the final two deliverables. At the end of the course, the final copies of the project plan and system design will be submitted jointly. The implementation effort in your following course, IT 420, will be guided by these deliverables. If the scope of your intended project is not entirely implementable owing to time and resource restrictions, you must prepare to offer a prototype, a simulation of the information system vision, or a comprehensive projection of what the fully realized system would look like at the end of the next course. This model of a fully operational system is supposed to be far more thorough than a system design. The following key elements must be handled in particular: I. Project Strategy: The project plan
will be created early in the course and refined as the system design progresses. The work breakdown structure and activities indicated as needing development in the design are then integrated to the project plan in this manner.
A. Work Breakdown Structure: To ensure the project’s success, clearly explain a reasonable work breakdown structure to all stakeholders. Make a list of all the tasks and artifacts that need to be developed.
B. Timeline: During the design and implementation of the project/solution, illustrate the overall project timeline by defining start and conclusion dates, major milestones, and any other relevant data points. (Implementation should take place in IT 420, the course on implementation.)
C. Dependencies: To ensure successful communication of needs, clearly describe any dependencies between tasks or resources.
D. Tool Selection: Using Microsoft Project or Excel, create a professional project plan. The second document is the system design document. Despite the fact that you will construct your proposed information technology project on your own, the project design should be detailed enough to allow another experienced information technology practitioner to apply the solution.
Determine a suitable scope for your project in order to complete it within the IT 420 course duration. The sections listed below should be included: A. First and foremost, Explain the general goal and scope of the system design in terms of solving the problem or overcoming the hurdles you highlighted in your proposal.
B. Requirements: Based on the study of the problem, determine all relevant and necessary system requirements. The requirements, which should encompass functional, design, security, safety, and performance requirements, should be stated as testable “system shall” statements.
C. Constraints: Identify the system design constraints as well as any assumptions made in terms of the problem to be solved.
D. Resources: Based on the analysis of the problem to be solved, identify the necessary resourceshardware, software, servers, virtual desktop resources, and so onto accomplish the project.
E. System Overview: Describe the overall design in terms of tool and technology integration in order to develop your solution successfully. You should describe the high-level design and architecture in this area, making sure that the specifics are appropriate for the type of project you’re working on. If your project is about a software application, a website wireframe, or screen mock-ups for a web application, for example, you’ll need to incorporate case and class diagrams.
F. Documented Detailed Design: Your detailed design should depict and annotate all critical features of the system, its components, interfaces, and subsystems that need to be constructed.
It also breaks down the high-level design into manageable bits that can be implemented properly. The detailed design should correspond to the product plan’s work breakdown structure. The tasks selected and included in the project plan should be informed by the comprehensive design. Submission Instructions: As a Word document with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman type, and one-inch margins, submit the assignment.

Average Score 50-85% |
40-38 points More depth/detail for the background and significance is needed, or the research detail is not clear. No search history information is provided. |
83-76 points Review of relevant theoretical literature is evident, but there is little integration of studies into concepts related to problem. Review is partially focused and organized. Supporting and opposing research are included. Summary of information presented is included. Conclusion may not contain a biblical integration. |
52-49 points Content is somewhat organized, but no structure is apparent. The use of font, color, graphics, effects, etc. is occasionally detracting to the presentation content. Length requirements may not be met. |
