What a Critical Analysis is:
Analysis means to break down and study the parts. Writing a critical paper requires two steps: critical reading and critical writing.
Critical analysis is the detailed examination and evaluation of another person’s ideas or work. Good critical analysis evaluates the ideas or work in a balanced way that highlights its positive and negative qualities.
Identify the authors thesis
Outline the main ideas
Evaluate the authors points
Finally, you need to offer your opinion about the piece: whether the author was successful in convincing the readers that his thesis is the correct one, whether the literary work can benefit the audience, and whether the readers should give the work a look at all.
