3. Address patient quality and safety issues using leadership concepts, critical thinking, and decision-making.
Using a powerpoint presentation. The PPT presentation should be intended to encourage peer debate and include at least four references other than the course text book. The PowerPoint presentation should be in A.P.A. format, with a total of 15-20 slides (excluding the title page, tables, and references). Infection control, skin care, fall prevention, patient assessments, and patient education are examples of self-selected areas of interest. As a PPT presentation, the self-selected topic should be explored in the context of the specified course outcome. The student should use the results as a guide for the topic he or she has chosen. Don’t just use the results to describe the concepts; use them as a guide to assist you locate the answer(s) to your self-selected topic.
