Scenario
Following up on the Strategy, Planning, and Selection assignment, you were hired as the retail company’s new HR director and have been in the post for about six months. Your approach to strategy, planning, and selection has been pretty successful so far, and now it’s time to address the organization’s expectations for employee performance and development, which are essential components of HR strategy in attaining business goals and success.

Write a four- to five-page paper that includes the following information:
Analyze and discuss any research-based (online or textbook) training process model you’re considering for use in staff development (here’s one example: The Addie Model (exhibit 7-1 in the textbook, page 230). Then, list at least three potential obstacles to implementing a new training procedure in the firm and explain them.
At least three forms of training that can be utilized for employee training are listed and briefly discussed. Which of the three would you choose to train retail personnel, and why? Be as precise as possible.
Make three to four fundamental distinctions between the ideas of performance management and performance appraisal. Then, present your case to upper management for or against adopting yearly performance evaluations in the company. Be specific in your viewpoint.
