Environmental Connection and Stakeholders Involved Discussion Term Paper
Content Type
This week we will continue to discuss the Environmental Law project together here: Environmental Law Project Discussion, but you will also submit a description of your project.
Typically this assignment is to select an existing environmental law, however, I have seen some great ideas and am open to creativity 🙂 (I’ll explain more about my teaching philosophies later, I honestly didn’t think you all would be interested so I left it out this quarter)
An important part of this assignment is understanding how the US Government functions. In today’s political environment it’s a little difficult to tell..read this document to gain an understanding. It uses an example with characters from an older television show that I appreciate, some of you may need to google the show or ask your parents. 😊
You need to understand how the government of the United States works in order to understand Environmental Law, so make sure you read the document and revisit all of the links on my Environmental Law StoryMap (Links to an external site.).
Here are some places to find Environmental Laws and more information:

(Links to an external site.))
Here are the items that I had on my list for requirements of the typical Environmental Law project, which we will do as a digital submission with peer review:
Timeline of important events related to the law
Stakeholders involved
Map (if relevant)
Environmental connection (resource impacted or protected through legislation)
I will comment on this assignment so make sure that you set up your notifications or check regularly 🙂
Remember that submissions are to be of academic quality. This means complete sentences, punctuation, and ideas conveyed to the best of your ability. Now that we are beyond halfway through the quarter I expect to see college level submissions. This does not mean using vocabulary or writing strategies that are beyond your capabilities, be genuine and real. Just show me you are trying. If you submit low effort and it’s obvious, then that’s what you will get in return.
