Consider yourself the HIT Director of a healthcare facility tasked with directing the conversion of the facility’s office to electronic health records. You will create a Microsoft PowerPoint® presentation that illustrates the planning and implementation phase while converting to electronic health records for this assignment. You will present this PowerPoint to other HIT Department stakeholders. In your presentation, please incorporate the following topics:
Name and describe two instances of electronic health records (EHRs) utilized in healthcare facilities, as well as the benefits and drawbacks of each.
To deploy electronic health records, what technology would the hospital require?
Using the phases of the system development life cycle as a reference, describe how the facility should deploy EHRs.
