This is achieved with the deployment of proper measures and intense collaboration of the implementation process. Public health policies are a vital part of the community. Public health officials interact with the public in all aspects of their daily activities (Pollack et al., 2018). Policymaker researches general analysis needs that need to be addressed and after that comes up with an implementation. Some of the areas in public health that require addressing are food-related sicknesses through ensuring food safety, HIV by coming up with ways to prevent and lower cases of the viruses.
Public health officials have been a vital part of the fight against tobacco use. Measures have been deployed to help reduce the consumption of tobacco through the tobacco control policy. Some of these policies are raising tobacco prices and developing programs to aid rehabilitations (Levi et al.,2018). The tobacco control act ensures restrictions on selling tobacco products to children and gives the FDA authority to carry out actions to protect public health. Tobacco control measures have implemented health warnings on all cigarette packs, bans on cigarette advertisements through the media platforms, and bans on smoking in workplaces. The most effective way to reduce tobacco use is through the comprehensive implementation of tobacco control policies. The development of awareness on health risks has aided a slow but steady decline of diseases related to tobacco consumption, thus promoting public health awareness.
Health outcomes are influenced by various factors both inside the health care system and outside the health system (Benjamin,2018). Policies related directly to living standards can considerably impact health outcomes, especially for poor communities facing economic barriers. Despite mot individuals facing socio-economic inequalities, it is crucially important to evaluate policy influence on health outcomes to promote standardized results without disparities for the vulnerable communities, thus promoting public health. Collaborating with various policies is vital towards achieving effective outcomes. This is through having community and academic partnerships to improve public health. Policies help set guidelines towards the general plan of public health promotion and action to be deployed for better outcomes in health.
Policies have a more significant impact on the community through budget decisions. Some programs aim to allow individuals to speak out their minds towards support for the community’s well-being. Public health policies are meant to uplift both the public health sector and the community as a whole. Addressing the issue of tobacco use, the tobacco health policy collaborates with the community to ensure positive outcomes through different interventions, including price and anti-media tobacco advertisement. This has significantly influenced the community due to reduced smoking and promotes the individual’s health. They do not have to suffer from heart disease and cancer-related violations of the policy.
On the other hand, health care policy affects the cost individuals must pay for access to quality care. This can influence general health since most individuals seeking public health strain on a low income. Despite some negative impacts such as cost, public health policies significantly affect a community’s population as they contribute to a more prosperous and productive society wt minimal health issues. Tobacco control policies have facilitated the reduction of consumption among individuals of all ages, a significant number. According to the research, alternatives have been established in replacement of smoking to help promote health. The smoker is directed to change their daily routines, spend time with nonsmokers and find a substitute.
Tobacco control policies have partially implemented reducing smoking over the past years despite being faced with numerous challenges (Chaaya et al.,2019). Despite increased taxes on tobacco products, advertisement restriction, and peer-based approaches, tobacco control policies have had o-face the smuggling of tobacco products by youths. Tobacco deaths and diseases continue escalating despite the provision of knowledge and control measures and public awareness. Tobacco kills half of its users as there is no safer way to use tobacco. These effects, including risks of dying reduced after quitting. The tobacco industry insist tobacco is a good product and refuse to have an insight if tobacco-related matters of health that are of high cost and leads to premature death
. Public health, together with control poly on tobacco, should thereby work towards proper and effective implementation that will help deal with this issue once and for all (Strehlenert et al.,2019). Integration of different expertise and through adhering to the world health framework organization will help come up with improved techniques to tackle the problem of smoking among all individuals glo9bally thus promoting public health.
