Essay: Based on a major Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, on Feb 3, 2007 New York Times article titled “Science Panel Calls Global Warming ‘Unequivocal’ by E. Rosenthal and A. Revkin” concluded for the first time that Global Warming (GW) is “unequivocal” and that human activity is the main driver, “very likely” causing most of the rise in temperatures since 1950. The author of the article describe that there are three steps of strategy for stopping climate change: (1) Stop debating, start doing; (2) Focus on the big wins; and (3) Use Technology. Investigate if this strategy would work to stop or even to reduce the impacts of climate change. Provide examples on stopping/reducing climate change practices from real-life applications that people may adopt to their daily lives.
Also, I am assuming that you want to leave a perfect gift to your lovely children and grandchildren. As part of energy conservation and being more energy efficient American with less consumption habits, what would really do in your daily lives? You should list and briefly describe at least three practices that YOU WILL “HONESTLY” TRY TO IMPLEMENT for the rest of your professional life that may help reduce carbon foot print and impact your life and environment positively.
