Love Texts Comparison & Contrast Essay
In this assignment you will write a proper essay comparing and contrasting the many texts we have read, heard or watched. Using the lesson from Week 5 as a guide and the lesson on compare and contrast essays you will discuss the purview (for example) of love. Be intentional about literary devices you employ and write accordingly. Some themes you may want to lead with are: Love can kill and keep you (paradox), love is a deity (myth), love is like a breath of fresh air (metaphor), etc.
this is week 5assignment This week we will discuss Chapter 17: Labor of Love and relate it to two other “texts” (1) Lt. Choi’s The Moth, and (2) Fresas y Chocolate film. [Note: the film is in Spanish and does not have subtitles, this is intentional and aimed as addressing big D Discourse (Gee, 2005) in class].
We will compare and contrast multiple texts on love. And maybe come up with a definition of our own.
