MBA530 From your point of view, what does leadership entail?
Overview
You learnt in this module that you can’t be a leader without followers. So, while leadership is a very personal activity, it is far from being a solitary one. At the end of the day, leadership is about people. The journal will be used for reflection in this course. This is a one-on-one interaction between you and your instructor, and you are encouraged to ask questions and dig further into the subjects covered.
Prompt
You’ve seen Simon Sinek’s video clip “Find Your Why.” A great leader, according to Sinek in this video, is someone for whom others raise their hands and say, “I will follow you.”
This project will provide you with insight into how to best persuade others to follow your leadership goal.
Now, analyze the following questions from the perspective of a leader, taking into account the GROW model’s recommendations:
Why would others follow you as their leader, in your opinion? Explain.
Impact: How would you encourage people to pursue the vision you’ve laid out, not because you tell them to, but because they desire to do so passionately on their own?
What is my biggest asset as a leader? ask someone you trust and who can be objective. Record the response in your journal, along with whether you agree or disagree, and why.
Submission Instructions
Use double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins in a Word document. This project should be 1 to 2 pages long and include APA-formatted references. For further information on citations, see the Shapiro Library’s APA Style Guide.
