Mechanisms and Proximate Causes Ethogram Template
Note I attached an example of ethogram sample on what need to be done and also a paper which needs to filled for the human ethogram.
Do an ethogram observation on a human like you have done for previous observations on rabbit. Also write down any questions that occur to you about how or why the animal is doing what it is doing. Make sure to distinguish what you observed from any speculations you record about your observation, such as why you think the animal (human) might be behaving in the way you have observed. After you finish the observation, describe what you saw in a paragraph.
In addition, answer the following questions:
How was observing humans similar to observing animals? How was it different?
What was the most common behavior you observed? Describe the behavior.
Explain this behavior either in terms of fitness benefit or evolutionary history.
Explain this behavior in terms of mechanisms and proximate causes.
