In this project, you will do a business case study analysis in the form of a narrated PowerPoint presentation to address one Course Outcome. The Unit 4 Assignment Template is available for download.
In your investigation of your chosen case study, you will find the following material useful: Case Analysis: A Guide. This task will necessitate extensive interpreting abilities. To prepare, read through this Case Analysis Guide. Make a checklist out of the grading rubric. To analyze your chosen company’s external (Part 1) and internal (Part 2) environments, use the following criteria:
Scenario:
To research, go to the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program website and pick an award-winning organization. As a business case, you will assess the “Award Application Summary.” For your chosen company, you are the director of strategy and business intelligence. For an upcoming annual report, you’re doing an evaluation of your chosen company. Your objective is to exhibit skill and knowledge in strategic analysis of your company’s strategic position. This report will be presented to the other C-level executives for their consideration. Make strategic decisions for your award-winning organization using the criteria listed below.
Part 1 of the assignment has the following requirements:
Provide background information on your chosen company, such as its name, industrial sector, goods, and target market. Extensive research should be used.
Based on Figure 3.1 (pages 4950 in your textbook), introduce the concept of strategic analysis.
Explain how the strategic analysis methods in Chapter 3 of your textbook can assist your chosen organization in developing a forward-thinking strategy.
Explain what the macro-environment is, how to analyze it, and why it’s important for strategy formulation. To substantiate your thoughts, opinions, and ideas, use theories, principles, and concepts from diverse research resources (see pages 5053 in your textbook).
Conduct a PESTEL analysis and select three strategically relevant aspects per PESTEL component that may have an impact on your chosen company’s long-term future, such as its strategic vision and mission, objectives, and business model (pages 5053 in your textbook).
Explain what strategically relevant aspects are most likely to have a larger influence and which are most likely to have a lesser impact on your chosen company’s position and business plan after looking at the PESTEL analysis table (page 50 in your textbook).
Explain how the five forces framework (pages 53 and 6869 in your textbook) might be used to diagnose competitive situations in a company’s industry.
To diagnose the competitive conditions in your chosen company’s industry, conduct an analysis utilizing the five forces framework.
Examine the rivalry among your chosen company’s competing sellers (see pages 5356 of your textbook).
Examine the competitive dynamics associated with the danger of new entrants (see your textbook’s pages 5762).
Examine the elements that influence replacement product competitiveness (see pages 6264 of your textbook).
Examine the elements that influence suppliers’ bargaining strength (see pages 6466 of your textbook).
Examine the factors that influence buyer power (see pages 6668 of your textbook).
Explain why the SOAR framework is important for competitor analysis as a strategic analysis tool in your chosen company’s industry (see pages 7779 of your textbook).
Part 2 of the assignment has the following requirements:
Explain how the techniques for examining an organization’s internal environment found in Chapter 4 of your textbook can assist your chosen organization gain a competitive advantage over competitors (page 87 in your textbook). To substantiate your thoughts, opinions, and ideas, use theories, principles, and concepts from a variety of supplementary study sites.

Make a SWOT analysis of the organization you’ve picked. Determine the company’s strengths and weaknesses in relation to market opportunities and threats (your textbook, pages 9195).
Explain how a SWOT analysis’ findings can be translated into strategic actions (page 95 in your textbook).
Explain how value chain operations affect a company’s cost structure and consumer value proposition (in your textbook, pages 102112).
Explain how the resources and competencies of your chosen organization offer it a competitive advantage over competitors (see pages 96112 of your textbook).
Explain why your chosen company’s strategic concerns and problems require immediate managerial response (page 115 in your textbook).
Analyze the findings of your strategic studies and explain how this knowledge might help managers make key decisions regarding their next strategic steps.
Oral narration and annotations should be included on each slide. Your presentations should be designed by an expert.
To demonstrate your critical thinking and provide plausible reasons for your opinions, use at least three peer-reviewed academic research materials (including your textbook).
Use the third person to write and talk, and follow the APA citation and reference structure.
