Multi-paragraph essay on unemployment
The task is to read the scenario below and write a multi-paragraph essay that answers the question and analyzes the events.
Here are four people who will tell you about how they became unemployed. Apply the theories of unemployment to describe the sort of unemployment that each of these persons is experiencing and which of these individuals is eligible for unemployment benefits in a multi-paragraph essay:
Marcelle used to work full-time in an automobile manufacturing company two months ago. “Because our market has shrunk so much, the plant where I used to work has closed, and I have been laid off. This is affecting individuals all around the country; all you read in the news is that economic development has slowed and that incomes have plummeted across the board. I’ve been seeking for a new work for a long time but have yet to find one.”
Dominic used to work full-time as a hairstylist in downtown Cincinnati until last week. “I made the decision to leave my job because I wish to relocate to New York City.”
Francine worked part-time at a ski resort until last month. “Because it is now summer, the resort is closed. When the snow returns in the winter, I’ll reapply. Until then, I’m not interested in working.”
Beauvoir had been working full-time as a secretary for two months. “I used to be a terrific typist, but I have no idea how to operate a computer. Because my supervisor intended to modernize the office to computers, I was replaced with a computer-savvy employee. I’ve been on the lookout for a new career, but it appears that I’ll need to brush up on my computer skills.”
Create a response that includes examples and facts to back up your points, as well as a clear message that your audience understands. As suitable for the genre of writing, organize your response in a clear and logical manner. Use well-structured sentences, audience-appropriate language, and normal American English conventions.
