Instructions:
Subject: Culture
Paper details:
please check the file attach . this paper is based on a National Geographic article. You are asked to first summarize and critique the article then to offer a discussion on what the article (which should be about a specific group of people or culture) – Japanese, for example – AS WELL as certain topic – paper making, for example – tells you about that particular culture. The National Geographic article should not be an article taking specifically about that culture (in terms of values, beliefs, dimensions, communication, etc). In fact, there are very few if any NatGeo articles that do. Most are as stated above about a certain group of people and an issue they are going through, or a particular topic related to that specific group.
Your job then for part 2 of the assignment is to – read between the lines of the article and… – tell your reader (me) what you learned about that culture in terms of TOUR 233 (i.e. think definition of culture, values, norms, beliefs, world view, cultural dimensions, communication, etc.). This discussion must be supported by other sources. IMPORTANT! I have asked you to send me an email and hyperlink to the article you will use. Please be sure to also send me a short, three-line synopsis on how the article supports part 2 of the assignment. This will help me determine that you have read the article and understand what is being asked. Do NOT just send me a link asking me if the article is suitable.
