Write: Your critical essay should follow this format:
1. 1 paragraph introduction that ends with a thesis statement, which is a single sentence that articulates the main argument or idea in your essay. All of the additional paragraphs you write in the essay should support your thesis statement.
2. 1 to 2 paragraphs that define the concepts we have learned and discussed in class, specifically, the concepts of politics and affordances. Define them in your own words. If you draw on any other concepts from the course that have been introduced thus far, or draw on ideas from other articles, please also define those in your own words.
3. 1 paragraph that describes the systems you have chosen. Also, articulate their affordances.
4. 1 to 3 paragraphs that (1) compare and contrast the politics of these platforms and (2) highlight the implications of the politics of these platforms on individuals, groups, and society. Note: The grade rubric details how you will be evaluated. Review it for further clarification on the evaluation criteria.
